Kunwu Gringo Verta Lock Knife

The Kunwu Verta Lock Gringo takes the bold, full-size profile of the original Gringo and pairs it with Kunwu's proprietary Verta Lock mechanism, creating an ambidextrous, highly fidget-friendly version of the design.

Built around a substantial 3.62-inch Elmax blade, the Verta Lock Gringo maintains the aggressive blade and handle geometry that gives the Gringo its unmistakable character while replacing the original frame-lock architecture with Kunwu's Verta Lock. The result provides secure lockup while keeping your fingers out of the blade path during operation.

At approximately 8.34 inches overall, this is a full-size folder with plenty of presence in hand. Multiple configurations are available, including premium titanium and carbon fiber handle options, along with different blade and handle finishes depending on the selected variant.

Kunwu completes the build with the details expected from its premium folders, including a 3D-machined titanium pocket clip, precision-machined construction and a premium Elmax blade.

Whether you prefer the substantial feel and machining of titanium or the lighter weight of carbon fiber, the Verta Lock Gringo combines the distinctive Gringo design with one of Kunwu's newest locking systems.

As always, my experience with Blade Distract is always smooth. The blade itself is phenomenal, extremely sharp out of the box. The shredded carbon fiber to the weight of the knife compared to the regular Gringo is a major difference. Very light in the pocket with the added wire clip I put on. And how can you not forget the Verta Lock. I highly recommend this blade.
